YAY episode 9 =D I’ll have Skip Beat episode 9 review up tomorrow. Vampire Knight Guilty 9 hasn’t been realized by Yuuri-San subs yet. Yozakura Quartet I’ll be having a post up tonight or tomorrow (well actually a post this morning or tonight since I’m writing this review at 12:30A.M. ) Anyways Earl and Fairy is back to it’s usual self, which I like, and we’ve got a drunk Edgar and a whisker-less Nico. Enjoy.

Summary

Nico is waving goodbye to the brownies as he sees Paul searching for something. Paul is searching for the banshee. Nico tell him she left with a woman a little while ago. Because Paul can’t see fairy footprints he *Nico* request to help find the banshee in return for a self portrait of himself. With the deal made they follow the footprints to a watermill outside of the city/town. They go inside and find the banshee. The banshee has found the Blue Knight Earl’s countess. The man *blond,evil dude* steps out and tells him that she is right and a banshee can sense a blood related person to the  Earl.

The banshee is happy and Paul tries to persuade her that this is not the Earl but is thrown aside by Ulysses *the blond dude*. Ulysses request on Ermine to make the guest feel comfortable, he then asks her a question. If she was happy that Edgar didn’t come, or her little brother. Nico tries to escape but is stop by a dark creature or more notably the hound.

Back at Edgar’s house Lydia goes to Edgar/Raven because she can’t find Paul,banshee, or Nico. As she enters the room she finds Nico who is unconscious. According to Raven he was dumped here inside a trunk by one of the princes men. They all conclude the banshee and Paul are missing because of the princes men too. Lydia holds Nico in her hands,comforting him. Edgar tries to help but instead Lydia and him start an argument. Raven then notices something. Nico doesn’t have his whiskers. Nico wakes up and is in a panic over this. He hides under the pillow trying to get them not to look. Lydia asks about Paul and the banshee.  Nico explains what happen. They *the bad guys* where the ones that took Nico’s whiskers.  Nico tells them that the man’s *evil dude’s* name is Ulysses and he’s a fairy doctor. Ulysses has been calling himself the Blue Knight Earl.  Nico says that he couldn’t remember the woman’s name because of the shock of his whiskers being chopped off but she wasn’t human,she was a selkie. Lydia wonders why a selkie is in this part of the land. Nico says to stop worrying about that and give him a mirror. Nico looks at himself in the mirror and faints. Edgar requests that Raven get scarlet moon to search for the moon and he tells Lydia that Ulysses is one of the Prince’s most trusted men and he has meant him a few times when Edgar was working for the Prince. Edgar asks if theirs a time span on how long a Banshee foresees a death, Lydia replies within a week. He then tells her that he’ll contact her if he hears anything about Paul.

Paul has returned the next day =D Everyone is glad. He tells him that Ulysses doesn’t just want the banshee but also the amber which unlocks her memory. The banshee’s memory was contained inside a amber of a teardrop when she *banshee* foretold the death of Lady Glady. So the reason why Paul is safe is because Ulysses has asked him to get it and get Edgar’s help. Lydia asks if that means the banshee is held hostage.  Paul tells him he doesn’t think the bad guys will hurt her. Lydia asks if Ulysses is really part of Blue Knight Earl family. Edgar asks a odd question about could it be possible for Ulysses to make the banshee recognize him as her master. Lydia says that impossible and Edgar replies, what if he is part of the Blue Knight Earl family. Even tho I,Edgar, was recognized first. Edgar decides that he will find the amber stone first. Lydia asks why the banshee appeared in front of Paul. It’s because of his smell, the banshee senses that someone close to Paul has the amber. We learn that if anyone gains the memories the banshee has lost then that could equal the Blue Knight Earl’s power. That is why Ulysses is afraid to let it get into anyone else hands. Edgar tells Raven to contact Scarlet moon and Lydia  requests that Paul check his boarding house and Paul asks to speak to Edgar alone in private.

Ermine is by the fountain,outside the Earl’s house,watching the mansion. Kelpie is on the fountain. He recognizes the Selkie as the person who intruded on his turf *the last episode when Lydia was in fairy world and so was Kelpie and someone interrupted them and Kelpie went to figure out who it was*.  Ermine tells Kelpie to take the fairy doctor and return to his homeland unless he wants her to die. Kelpie asks, who are you.

Edgar is looking at one of the ambers and Kelpie shows up. Kelpie has come to stop the engagement between him and Lydia. He says this is because Edgar will die in a week according to  the banshee and he tells him not to involve Lydia in that prophecy. They then have a intense staring contest but it’s interrupted by Raven, so Kelpie disappears. Raven goes and shuts the window and thinks he sees his sister he tells Edgar this. He also says this isn’t the first time this has happen. Edgar state that dead people don’t come back alive unless they’re human.

Meanwhile Lydia is trying to comfort Nico who is depressed,under the bed, without his whiskers. Lydia has even got him a mask so he can hide his face with. She goes underneath the bed and Nico warns her to be careful. That Ulysses isn’t a ordinary Fairy Doctor. That he has the ability to control Spectra Hounds. Lydia remembers the Spectra hound that appeared before *In many episodes ago*. Nico says she shouldn’t involve herself with Edgar,Raven,ect. Lydia say this is more of a reason to get involve. She drags Nico out from under the bed. Nico tells Lydia that the selkie is Ermine, Edgar’s friend who supposedly died at sea.

So Edgar has gone to Slade’s art dealership he is looking at all the O’neil’s work. He tells Slade to not let anymore information leak to Paul, this is safely precautions. Later Edgar goes to the bar and is getting drunk on Gin. He is thinking about Ermine, and wanting to see Lydia. He sees a picture and thinks it looks like Lydia. He wants to see Lydia very much. Meanwhile Lydia is in a carriage, off to see Edgar to tell him of the news about Ermine. She is very nervous about seeing him.

So Lydia is greeted by Raven. She uses a lame excuse for visiting such as, I forgot something. She then starts to question about Edgar, and eventually Raven takes to Lydia to Edgar. Edgar opens up the door, he’s drunk and not dressed properly. He swooshes Lydia in and closes the door. Lydia says she’s going to leave soon. Edgar does some flirting then he puts his arm around her and tells her that he used to drink with his buddies in American. Edgar then asks what she has forgotten. Lydia blushes and mumbles and then asks if he’s drunk.

Edgar asks how she knew that he wanted to see her. Probably from Nico. Lydia then says that she heard Ulysses was with Ermine. She asks what Edgar is going to do and he doesn’t know. He asks that she doesn’t tell anybody. They both agree they can’t confirm this  fact without facts or clues. Edgar asks her not to leave and she tells him it’s getting late. He says he’ll not return her coat. She says she’ll go home in this. She gets up and starts to leave. Edgars starts to fall and Lydia returns to lift him up,making sure he’s ok (really he stumbles around). He tells her she is too kind-hearted. He  pulls her in and asks to spend the night. He starts flirting, he pulls her in closer and she tells him she came as a friend. He whispers that he wants to spend the night together. Lydia backs away saying that is impossible. He brings her back into a tight grip, she gives up, he lifts her up. Takes her into the room,throws her onto the bed. Goes over top of her and says he loves her. He says he’s a foolish man and asks for forgiveness. He’s thinking of Ermine, Lydia is blushing. He kisses Lydia’s forehead and then falls to the side and says: “Ermine”.  Lydia is hurt and horrified by this. She thinks that she should of never worried about him. And the episode ends.

Next Episode

Jimmy is working and told he isn’t allowed to go to the Earl’s place anymore. He’s sad. His eyes turn red, and he goes to Ulysses, and slowly starts to turn into a spectrium hound. That’s right, Paul’s younger brother is the spectrum hound. Ulysses says good job. (BTW: I think we should pay attention to the lovely paintings that keeping being mention. The one that Paul drew, the one in the bar. Because they seem to have a meaning and behind Ulysses, in this scene, there is the same painting that Edgar saw in the bar)

Thoughts: After the un-refreshing preview of last episode this episode makes me happy. Interested. And most of all curious. Were getting  close to this seasons finale, that makes me sad.

Thoughts

This episode brought all my expectations, that I lost about this show, back up again. It was funny, and good. I enjoy the ending until Edgar was being stupid and said Ermine’s name. Also I’m starting to notices small hints that they’re leaving as clues about the plot. One of them is the paintings.

I’m going to have a random moment here but I thought when Lydia and Raven were waiting for Edgar to open the door *scene at the end before he opens the door,drunk* that their should of been this monologue:

Lydia: Raven, have you been checking up on him every hour?

Raven: Why?

Lydia: To make sure he isn’t dead, cause this is a unbelievably long time for someone to answer the door.

Anyways, I enjoy this episode very much. Character developments are happening in Edgar, we’re learning that Ermine maybe way more huge deal to him then he lets on. Maybe such a big deal that he’s just using Lydia as a replacement. Nico has turned a bit depressed without his whiskers, but that is normal. Lydia is starting to take back ever wanting to comfort Edgar. Plot events. Ulysses is a fairy doctor who can control Spectrum Hounds, and the Spectrum Hound is Jimmy. Edgar is supposedly the foresee death and it could happen within a weak. The Banshees memories that were lost could have the power to make anyone as powerful as the Blue Knight Earl. The memories are locked in one of the amber stones. Other then that it seems like something big is unfolding and this makes me excited. Hopefully we have a second season ^_^

Episode: The plot is finally starting to unveil and all my expectations are back, expect for the ending when he said “Ermine’s” name. But Oh ,Well. Great Episode.

Plot/Character Development: Character Development has been progressing in Edgar in the fact that he might be feeling more for Ermine then he lets on. Lydia is starting to have doubts about Edgar and who she loves. Plot Events. The spectrum hound is Jimmy, Paul’s younger brother. Ulysses is a fairy doctor. The banshee’s memories hold the key to having the ultimate power that could equal the Blue Knight Earl. The memories are hid inside the amber stone. Edgar and Lydia have a special moment but is ruined by Edgar saying the name, Ermine.
